Ferment is situated on the banks of the picturesque Avon River on Oxford Terrace in the middle of Christchurch. A Mac’s Brewery Bar, we are proud to offer a selection of some of the finest crafted beer in New Zealand, as well as serving brunch lunch and dinner seven days a week.

We invite you to experience our Tapas Menu – a blend of fresh ingredients and the finest New Zealand flavours, prepared with skill and care for you to enjoy. The Tapas Menu is designed to be a shared dining experience – we recommend that each diner chooses at least two dishes to share with the rest of the table. Small nibbles are also available to share in our Flavours Menu.

For the diner that prefers an al a carte option, main meals are also available all day. Daily specials also change, and reflect the freshest ingredients available each day.

By night Ferment becomes a busy bar, playing the latest hip hop and R&B sounds for those that wish to party until the small hours.

Happy Hour happens every Friday between five and eight, with two for one tap beer, house wine and Smirnoff vodka available for a relaxing after work drink.
